Black Book Sessions has traveled all over Southern California hosting FREE creative events within communities. Dedicated to promoting a positive educational forum through live art demonstrations, hands-on workshops, Q & A with industry leaders, live performances, music, sponsor merch booths, food, giveaways, arts-n-crafts and an art contest for young artists between 9-24 years old. Each year BBS has provided full scholarships and grants to further cultivate the education of young artists. During the global pandemic in 2020 the events were forced to be put to a halt as California laws restricted mass gatherings due to the coronavirus. The team at Black Book Sessions was severely impacted and heartbroken by the many losses. Now that restrictions have been safely lifted there is a need for the community to come together again. “We are back and appreciate everyone’s support!” says Black Book Sessions founder, Eric “Mural” Martinez. Mural’s vision back in 2008 at the first event was to create a community program, which aims to “inspire and empower young creative minds.” Join us at our next Black Book Session event! Together, we can make a difference in our local communities by empowering and inspiring young artists. All are welcome, bring your friends and family as events are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
